Cafe shopfitting for Byron Bay

Velvet Byron Bay opened mid-2017 to rave reviews, and it is no surprise. Manager and head chef, V, creates fresh delicious salads and snacks. V is also very passionate about her coffee which is hands-down some of the best in town – they use the only highly technical Modbar in Byron Bay.

The fresh and modern joinery for this project was made for multiple parts: back and front of house plus the customer tables.

Front of house features American Oak veneer and black suede-looking cabinetry, Carrara stone waterfall bench tops.

Back of house has commercial-grade integrated stainless steel sinks and benchtops with Blum hardware.

Tables were made with powder-coated white steel legs on castors with a mix of Carrara stone and American Oak tops.

Note: Velvet has now been replaced with Fel’s Kitchen and some shop fittings has been modified.
